As the name indicates, a temperature controller is a device that monitors and controls temperatures and is also utilized to control pressure, speed, and other speed variables in an industrial environment, such as in fridges, ovens, or freezers. 

To install and use an accurate temperature controller system, a controller must take input from the temperature sensor as an RTD or thermocouple. The measured temperature is then compared to the required measured temperature. It provides an output to a control element such as a fan or a heater which determines how much heating or cooling is needed to convert it back to process temperature.

PID temperature controller is an on/off process controller device that calculates the difference between the desired temperature setpoint and the current process temperature with the help of a mathematical formula. On-Off Temperature Controller

On-off temperature controllers are simple to use temperature controllers. They have a pre-set optimal temperature, so the output switches off when it exceeds that limit; when the temperature falls even below the optimal pre-set, the output switches back on.

Proportional Temperature Controller

Proportional temperature controllers can increase the power as required in a ratio that matches the differences between the current and desired temperatures. This proportional control is only possible within a defined range of temperatures and is designed to eliminate the cycling related to an on-off controller. 

Peltier Module Controller

Peltier module controllers are temperature controllers that reverse the cooling or heating control of thermoelectric assemblies, mainly depending on the current direction.
